An ordinary meal can be special with this delicious roasted beef rolls with asparagus, spinach and fresh basil leaves. The flavors of garlic, grape juice and Italian seasoning go well with the beef.

900grams of steak, sliced thinly and cut into pieces 4 inches in diameter
450g of fresh asparagus, sliced in 4-inch pieces
250g of fresh spinach
20g of fresh basil
200g of mushrooms, sliced
4 garlic cloves, crushed and peeled
120ml of white grape juice
4tbsp of Italian seasoning

Recipe Instructions

Preparing the roasting pan and mushrooms

Start by preheating your oven to 160 degrees Celsius. Then, get a large roasting pan and arrange the sliced mushrooms at the bottom of the pan. Take one piece of meat and put a layer of basil followed by a layer of fresh spinach leaves on top of the basil.

Rolling, seasoning and roasting

Place an asparagus spear at the middle of the layered meat and roll the whole thing up. Arrange the rolls on the pan, making sure the open-end is facing down. This should keep the rolls rolled up. However, you may also opt to use a toothpick to keep them in place. Do the same thing for the rest of the meat.

Once all the rolled beef has been arranged on the pan, combine the white grape juice and Italian seasoning in a bowl. Add the crushed garlic and mix. Pour this all over the beef rolls. Put the pan in the oven and roast until the meat has been cooked through. This should take about 15 minutes. Serve hot with mashed potatoes or steamed rice.
