Quick-Bake Asparagus Dip

Steaming the asparagus

Pour water in a pan and secure a steamer basket on top. The amount of water depends on how deep the pan is. The rule of thumb is the water must not touch the food you are steaming when you place the basket in the pan.

Put the asparagus in, cover and steam until they have softened. Once soft, turn off heat and transfer the asparagus in a food processor.

Processing the asparagus with the rest of the ingredients

Process the steamed asparagus but make sure not to process them too long that they will be pureed. It must have some texture still. Add the rest of the ingredients in—the parmesan and mozzarella cheese, minced garlic, mayonnaise, sour cream and freshly ground black pepper. Process again until combined, then transfer in a baking pan.

Baking the asparagus

Bake the processed asparagus at 175 degrees Celsius until it has become bubbly. This should take around 15 minutes to happen. Serve and enjoy!
