A classic dish made of pan-fried pork chop, served with mashed potatoes and sautéed asparagus and bell pepper strips.

85g of pork chop, washed and drained
180g of fresh asparagus
90g of bell pepper strips
90g of mashed potatoes
2tbsp of light ranch dressing
1tsp of whipped butter
2tsp of olive oil
Freshly ground black pepper

Recipe Instructions

Cooking the pork chop

Pour 1 tsp of olive oil in a pan. Put it over medium heat. While waiting, get the pork chop and season it with a sprinkle of salt and a dash of freshly ground black pepper.

Your pan must be sufficiently hot by this time. Put the pork chop on the pan and cook it for about three to five minutes or until it has lightly browned. Then, turn over the meat on the other side and cook it the same way. Once cooked, remove from the pan and transfer on a platter. Cover and set aside to keep it warm.

Sauteingthe asparagus

Heat one teaspoon of olive oil in another pan and once hot, add the asparagus. Stir. Season it with some salt and freshly ground black pepper. Cook until tender-crisp.

Arranging and serving

Put the mashed potatoes on the side of the meat and beside it, the sautéed asparagus. Top it with a teaspoon of whipped butter. Arrange the bell pepper strips on the other side of the meat. Put the light ranch dressing in a dipping bowl and place it beside the bell pepper strips.
