Cheesy-Lemon Asparagus Dip Recipe

Creamy asparagus dip that can liven up any food
Yield: 6 to 8    Preparation Time: 15 minutes    Cooking Time: 15 minutes
It isn’t just creamy. It’s also cheesy...and a bit lemony. And while we’re at it, it also has that slight taste of garlic. This delicious asparagus recipe can add more life to chips, tacos and even any grilled meat. What’s more, it only calls the use of the woodsy ends of asparagus which we normally throw away.

450g of fresh asparagus, ends trimmed and the tops saved for another dish
3 garlic cloves, crushed, peeled and minced
220g of cream cheese, softened
220g of mayonnaise
110g of parmesan cheese
110g of comte cheese, grated
1tsp of lemon pepper
1tsp of freshly ground black pepper
½ tsp of salt

Recipe Instructions

Preparing the asparagus ends

Put the asparagus ends in a food processor and set it on low. Process the asparagus until it is finely chopped. Then, transfer it in a large bowl.

Add the rest of the ingredients in the bowl—the softened cream cheese, parmesan cheese, comte cheese, mayonnaise, grated garlic, salt, freshly ground black pepper and lemon pepper. Blend these with the processed asparagus thoroughly.

Using a cooking spray, coat a baking dish completely before transferring the dip. Then, bake it in the oven set at 180 degrees Celsius until the dip starts to get really hot and bubbly. Best when served hot.
