Broiled Asparagus

Seasoning and broiling the asparagus

Before doing anything else, preheat your broiler. Then, put your prepped asparagus in a baggie and pour the olive oil in. Seal and shake well to coat the spears in oil. Once coated, transfer the asparagus on the broiling pan and season it with red pepper flakes, sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Top it off with the minced garlic before putting it in the broiler.

Let the asparagus cook for about ten minutes or until the tips have turned a golden brown. However, make sure to shake the pan from time to time as the spears are cooking. Once they are tender, they are good to go.

Serving the asparagus

Transfer the broiled asparagus in a serving plate and sprinkle a few drops of fresh lemon juice extract. You can also cook other vegetables such as red bell peppers and snow peas the same way if asparagus are not available. You may also incorporate baby bella mushrooms in this recipe if preferred.
